WHAT IS THE MEANING ABOUT  EASTER ?
aska, orP Passover in English, comes from the Hebrew word, Pesah. The Scriptures relate the word to the root psh, which means “lame / over / over” (cf. 2 Sam 4: 4), 1Ki 18:21). In the final plague of the Egyptians, God stepped over / passed through houses that carried out the requirements of Easter (Ex 12: 13,23,27).
Beyond the origin of the word, for the nation of Israel, it seems that the pesah celebration, originally celebrated by shepherds, sacrificed their young animals, in their hope that the herd of herdsmen flourished. This pesah celebration was then combined with another celebration, namely the celebration of unleavened Bread, a new agricultural / agricultural celebration which began to be celebrated after the Israelites entered the land of Canaan. This celebration is associated with the calculation of the week, and is carried out during the week (Ex 23:15; 34:18), from one Sabbath to the next Sabbath (Ex 12:16, De 16: 8; Lev 23: 6-8). Harvest celebration, set at seven weeks after the celebration of unleavened Bread (Lev. 23:15; Deut. 16: 9).
Then the two celebrations, Paska and Unleavened Bread, which are both celebrated in spring, are combined into one. The Easter celebration which has been set on the full moon, is not changed, and the celebration of Unleavened Bread is included at the celebration, and to be celebrated for 7 days (cf. Lev. 23: 5-8). The tradition of the books of Moses (Pentateuch) connects the celebration of Unleavened Bread (Exodus 23:15; 34:18; Deut. 16: 3) or Paschal (Deut. 16: 1 and 6), or both Passover and Unleavened Bread (Ex 12: 12-39), with the release of the Israelites from Egypt. The two rites of the two celebrations are combined in the story of the Israelite Exodus. http://www.katolisitas.org/apakah-arti-paskah-kematian-atau-kebangkitan/
